These batteries are tested, by the manufacturer, using a fixed pressure CPAP of 10 cm H2O, with heated humification settings turned off, when rating hours of use. We use the average rated hours as a guideline, not a guarantee that the batteries will last for this amount of time for every PAP user. For the patient demographic using Bilevel/ASV therapy the hours of use will be significantly lower as these machines are more advanced than standard CPAP/Auto CPAP and require more power to run.
